LIACFE CFE Test Awards

LIACFE is proud to support the Ritchie-Jennings Memorial Scholarship Program. The ACFE Foundation supports the education of collegiate accounting and criminal justice students around the globe.Through our sponsorship, our Chapter receives periodic complimentary CFE Exam preparation study programs to grant to members seeking CFE Status.

Each year, as available, the LIACFE Chapter may offer up to two scholarships for eligible members who wish to take the ACFE test and attain their CFE designation. The award only includes the Preparation Study Guide. The candidates will be responsible for ACFE Dues and Cost of CFE Exam. The following are the requirements for eligibility and the process involved.

Basic Eligibility:

  • Must be an Associate Member with the National ACFE organization
  • Must be a member of LIACFE #43, in good standing (paid up dues and an active participant in training events) for one year.
  • To be eligible for the First/Second Qtr of 2024, requests must be received by March 31, 2024. Awards will be announced no later than May 31, 2024.

Candidate Process:

  • Submit your application and your current resume/curriculum vitae.
  • Attach a short essay (one page or less) on why you should be considered for the Scholarship.
  • Certify (one or two sentence word doc) that you are an Associate Member ACFE in good standing (paid up dues) with the National Association.
  • Certify (one or two sentence word doc) that you have been a member of the LIACFE #43 Chapter for at least one year prior to your application.
  • Must certify with the LIACFE #43 that you agree to complete the CFE Study Guide and successfully pass the CFE exam within one year of receipt of materials.

In review, factors such as length and involvement in Chapter may be considered. Committee reserves the right to consider applicant and override the length of the LIACFE membership based on quality of applicant submission materials and participation.

The LIACFE reserves the right to limit and restrict awards, due to availability and resources including quality of candidate selection.
