Disciplines of Effective Cyber Security Leadership

This session will be presented by

Andrew J. Peden MBA, B.Sc., CPP, CEO of L5L Solutions

At the intersection of physical and cyber security, the asymmetric threat has left the building, and the attack surface area has exponentially increased.

The threat surface area, vulnerabilities, and opportunities for attack have exponentially increased allowing infiltration of “critical ecosystems” to either perform access, or effects, attacks.

There is no "black box" that can be seamlessly integrated into customer's, partner's ecosystems to solve all their problems. To streamline organizational strategy and mitigate risk effectively, leadership must address all four pillars of risk: physical, technology, people, and process.

Here are “10 Disciplines” leaders can use in any business, small, medium, or large, to mitigate their cyber risk, and the impact to their businesses, communities, and people.

1.      Participants will gain effective leadership disciplines they can implement into their organizations to streamline organizational strategy and mitigate risk to their business, communities, and people.

2.      Participants will learn to look at cyber risk holistically across the enterprise, and to think of cyber as a strategic risk.

3.      Participants will learn planning and preparing proactively with the future in mind, provides the process needed so you can push play when an event occurs, and therefore your worst day will NOT be your first day.
