Session 1: 9:00-10:30 Mr. Steven Rambam: Skiptracing in Your Underwear (and Countermeasures)

Cyber-location often reveals physical location. This brief review of basic cyber-trapping methods provides an overview of “trap” websites, email tracking, commercially available independent tracking devices (ex. Airtags, Tile and worse), QR code data capture and telephone unmasking - - - and countermeasures to prevent these technologies from being turned against you. This is an introductory class. There are no prerequisites.

Mr. Rambam is the founder and CEO of Pallorium, Inc., a licensed Investigative Agency and security services provider, with offices and affiliates worldwide. Since 1981, Pallorium’s investigators have successfully closed more than 10,000 cases, ranging from homicide and death claim investigations to missing persons cases to the investigation of various types of sophisticated financial and insurance frauds.

Mr. Rambam has coordinated investigations in more than sixty (60) countries, and in nearly every U.S. State and Canadian province. Steven specializes in international and multi-jurisdictional investigations, investigations of sophisticated frauds and missing person investigations. Steven Rambam and Pallorium have conducted or coordinated numerous foreign insurance-related investigations, including hundreds of homicide and “death claim” investigations.

Steven is a court-recognized expert witness on matters including “investigative techniques”, “foreign investigation”, “international fugitive recovery” and “sophisticated financial frauds”, among other topics.

Steven holds the “CFE” board certification from the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners, the “CPP”, “PSP” and “PCI” board certifications from ASIS International, the “CSAR” certification from the International Association of Asset Recovery Specialists and the “CFCS” certification from the Association of Certified Financial Crime Specialists.

 Session 2: 10:35-11:35 Mr. Nicholas Barone: The Impact of the Russian/Ukraine War on Global Cyberattacks

Nicholas Barone is a recognized computer forensics expert. Nicholas has managed hundreds of Incident Response, Computer Forensic, PHI, PII and PCI related investigations in the US and globally. Nicholas’s work has been reported in the national media, periodicals and respected Internet Blogs such as the New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, Newsweek and Krebs On Security while in law enforcement and private industry roles. Nicholas uses his hacking expertise and legacy systems knowledge to perform data breach, discovery, investigation, and/or IT Vulnerability Risk and Compromise assessments. He has also worked with a number of America’s Fortune 500 companies across a range of industries in the related fields of Risk Identification and Remediation, IT Audit and Penetration Testing assignments.

Session 3: 11:40-12:30 Mr. Brian Busto, CEO & Joe Wagner, Director of Cybersecurity Operations, Stetson Cybergroup: Digital Forensics

Brian’s knowledge, skills, and over 30 years in the industry define him as a cybersecurity expert. Brian’s certifications include (CISSP) Certified Information Systems Security Professional, (NCSP) NIST Cybersecurity Practitioner, (CEH) Certified Ethical Hacker, (ECSA) Certified Security Analyst, (CHFI) Certified Forensic Investigator, and a BS in Cybersecurity from Purdue University.

Brian has performed and overseen numerous risk assessments, gap analysis, penetration tests, policy development, and forensic examinations for Stetson Cybergroup since 2017. Brian’s experience in cybersecurity dates back to 2010, when he became a forensic investigator through InfoSec. Brian has been in the technology sector as the owner of and MSP BMB Solutions since 1997.

With over 23 years of experience in the IT Security space, Joe’s knowledge of the tactics, techniques and procedures of an attacker is key to his investigations. Starting as a Certified Ethical Hacker and then expanding to digital forensics and incident response, Joe has experienced the attack chain from both sides.

Joe has worked with the FBI, Secret Service and local law enforcement on many breach investigations. Joe is a member of HTCIA (High Technology Crime Investigator Association), ECTF and CFTF (Electronic Crimes Task Force /Cyber Fraud Task Force – through Secret Service), HSIN (Homeland Security Information Network – Through Homeland Security), NJCCIC (The New Jersey Cybersecurity & Communications Integration Cell), Infragard (Through FBI).
