Victor Hartman will summarize a framework for addressing fraud known as the fraud life cycle. The first part of the presentation will focus on corruption including definitions, case examples, root causes, and solutions. The presentation will then focus on conducting a forensic investigation (criminal or civil) using the prosecution of celebrities Todd & Julie Chrisley as an example.

Vic Hartman is an attorney and CPA with The Hartman Firm, LLC in Atlanta, Georgia. Vic served 25 years with the FBI as a Supervisory Special Agent and Chief Division Counsel specializing in fraud and corruption. He now specializes in internal investigations, forensic accounting, and fraud mitigation consulting. He is an Adjunct Professor at Georgia State University where he teaches a masters level forensic accounting course. He is also the author of the book, The Honest Trust About Fraud.
